Well I was able to pry the caseback off with a watchmaker’s knife. Didn’t get any pictures as I was taking notes:
Inside of caseback states:
1.metal chrome
2. Fond acier inoxydable (Stainless steel back)
3. 44 (batch number) no reference like Mark pointed out.
4. Caseback was signed with typical UG signature of the period.
Movement was a cal 249 if I recall correctly. If anyone needs me to double check anything, I guess I can go about the process again.
Kind of bummed the front of the case is chrome in all honesty, but it was my fault for not asking for a pic of the inside of the caseback before purchasing. Live and learn. 😁
