Hi Larry, I meant I had to go and do some work. For clients but it's not in any field relating to watch making/repair. I agree with your assesment of the work required. It has not been used for some time and whilst I did give a small wind to make sure it works my intention is that is all I am going to do.

I am in the UK so will spend a bit of time looking for the right place to get it looked at and refurbished.

Thanks for your knowledge and when I have made progress with it I shall put up how it is going.

If you intend to wear it only have the movement serviced. No polishing or so.

UG can be a challenge because they are a defunct brand. Some watchmakers will turn them away. That said my watchmaker views them as well made and straightforward to work on. Look for someone with a proven record and solid parts network.
