Having a smallish wrist ... these vintage watches at 35 mm actually fit better than most modern ones ...

The lugs also seem to be massive for this watch.

What is the lug to lug?
Due to this wears more like 38mm I assume

Lug to lug is actually 40 mm, 35-35 mm case size.

A classic Speedmaster looks massive in comparison ... I know the service hands ... but I still have the original ones ... ;-)

Earlier in this thread @page 4 there was debate regarding the Uni-Compax pictured above by @Mark020 and whether it's native to the 30s waterproof case in such a low serial#. It was mentioned that it could have been a Berthoud dial but later swapped to Uni Compax to gain value.
I recently was able to view a 4 digit ref 38mm Berthoud with a serial higher than that of the Uni compax. The inner caseback of the Berthoud was stamped "Berthoud". In the Uni Compax the inner caseback is marked: "Universal Geneve"
I also conferred with Sala who said the serial # for the uni-compax was fine - the 30s UG waterproof cases were indeed cross pollinated by Berthoud, Compur, Uni-Compax and Compax dials. Always appreciate members questioning ideas here as it helps provoke further research/ understanding.

The Berthoud listed above is a beauty.
The case is one of the nicest I have seen from my perspective on par with the big 38mm Spillman.
It was also used by Bovet and Vetta (ref 5347) called ermetico. Maybe other brands too?!

Would be great if some can share some knowledge on these cases.

But very interesting to see it was used also by UG.

I have 4 of them on file. Tanknumber suggests a batch of 150 pieces. Curious to see what price it will reach. Insane piece

/QUOTE]
I found a similar dial in Brasil (site is a complete PITA because basically you can't register as foreigner and so I could not contact the seller. Also tried FB but no response).
