so I have a number of bracelet watches which I just clean in the shower with my toothbrush.

Is it worth it to have buy an ultrasonic cleaner at home and just dunk the bracelets in? and maybe the glasses and anything else?

My own experience with cheaper ultrasonic machines was that the toothbrush and mild soap was more effective.

I got a 1.3L 60W Heated model (blue label, LED readouts) for about $60 a couple years ago. I see them on ebay for $80 right now. It's fine for bracelets.

I originally bought it for movement cleaning but moved on to a Watchmaster because it integrated the workflow much better (multiple baths, dryer).

Alternatively:

* Probably don't do this for your watches but I used to use coke to clean gas parts on my rifle back when I was a squaddie. The stuff does wonders.

I think others have had success mixing coke and rifles before...
