Now is for sure the time to ask for one. The watch you want is a common mover so a discount should be easy to get.

10/15% should be achievable at most AD's

Not an Omega, but I was in Watches of Switzerland a couple of weeks ago, and was told that a deal could be done on a Navitimer that my friend was interested in - we never got to a specific, because he eventually decided saving for his wedding should be his priority 😵‍💫, but I would have thought they are desperate to shift stuff right now. The footfall is not there.

20% off the Railmaster I purchased on Friday from my local OB, but they wouldn't go any further.

Even the OB’s are giving discounts now?

I asked and the SA said he could do something, there's quite a bit of activity on Omega's prices on certain pieces on jewellers websites so maybe there was a promotion just not advertised in the OB, the watch was in a case on its own in the centre of the shop and not priced, my receipt shows 20% discount. If i'm honest I wouldn't have bought at the full price, but getting 20% made it a worthwhile purchase.

Oh absolutely. I was just under the impression OB’s did not give discounts. They gave champagne and extra straps whereas the AD’s gave discounts. It’s awesome regardless that you got the discount 👍

I have only known AD’s to give them. Maybe some boutiques are desperate to move inventory after prolonged closures.

I got the OB in NYC to cover the sales tax on my DSOTM back in 2018. I also got the Blancpain boutique in Vegas to do the same on a five figure watch that had only been announced at Basel that year, and they gave me a free strap on top of that as well. It’s been written many times in the forum that OBs do not give discounts, but that's rubbish. They really don't like to give them, and they won’t go as low as an AD, but they will given them if you push.

Of course, it might be different in the UK. I’m a Brit myself, and we don't like to give things away 😉

I would not touch current stock @ 15-20% with current pricing you will bleed at the eyes. As much as I love the current line up the losses are heartbreaking.

I purchased a PLOPROF Ti 1200in January this year. I have loved this watch for many many years love wearing it now. But my advice is: minimum 40% discount or walk away

This is pretty unrealistic and setting up a lot of people for disappointment.

I've bought many Omega watches from AD and boutique but never heard of 40%. Did you get that much? Was it a watch sitting at show window for few years? There must be a catch if it's at 40% discount.
It's normal to get between 10-23% discount depending on the urgency the store feels in moving said watch out fast. It's my experience of 25 years.
