Hi All,

Thanks for the very positive comments so far, I really appreciate them, particularly when they come from fellows members here that are true lovers of UG.

As I have DIBS from some members, I consider that is relevant that you are aware that the hour hand as been rewelded.

When I got the watch the hand was like this

After my watchmaker intervention it become like this

I consider that not be a major flaw, as it is easier (relatively speaking) to find a hour hand, I presume it would be more difficult to find a minute hand or a central chrono hand.

But I want you to be aware before confirming your DIBS.

Hand was rewelded with gold, and not with another material, so corrosion problems will occur.

Rather than that, movement including chrono works well, resets properly, and was completely overhauled by my watchmaker.

Thanks
Almost impossible to find hands for these OS Tri. Your watchmaker did a nice job.

Take care that the openings are big enough to fit the thicker nubs for vintage - typically at least 1.2mm to be safe. Most modern female springbars are only 0.8 to 1mm only.

Thanks. I suspect that it wouldn't be too difficult to splay out the ends a little to squeeze them onto slightly thicker lug posts but obviously at the risk of increasing the chance of failure. Is it just me or do the modern variants all look inferior to the originals?

The nubs, especially those on gold cases, are already delicate enough that I wouldnt want to put anymore unnecessary stress on them. Trust me, I learnt the hard way. 馃檨

Hi,

Thanks for the feedback.
I believe you have learned the hard way, I also did with another piece馃槈

This kind of spring bars are not so tough as the male type.

I have the proper size spring bars for this piece, only waiting for the proper strap to arrive.

But still open to Dibs馃槈

Thanks
