Let me say I have waffled several times on this dial, so I don't really trust myself. When someone first posted it in that other 2915 thread, I thought it looked great. Someone else said it was a redial, I had a quick closer look and spotted a few questions marks, so figured it was probably a redial. Now I have looked at it more carefully and I'm not so sure. I don't feel as confident evaluating these older dials as I do a bit later.

I used to have a similar dial, and although I see a few differences, I see a lot of similarities. I don't really tend to go off any one thing (how good the condition is, overlapping printing, etc) I more just try to evaluate the entire dial.

Anyhow I would amend my vote to probably original dial, for what it's worth, but I would hope others more knowledgeable might continue to add their opinions as well.

The dial's fine to me, based on a comparison with a similar one I used to have.

Sales Text...

For sale is my UNIQUE SALMON DIAL Universal Genève Compur circa 1942. Comes on a crocodile strap. 18K Rose gold with pink/salmon dial. Amazing watch which finds it's way on my wrist way too little, which is why I'm selling it. No prior knowledge of the history of this watch.

The watch is priced to sell already. And please remember the rarity of this salmon dial version. I'm not in a hurry and I don't need the money. Please respect this. Open for suggestions, but low-balling will be ignored.
