UG Compax with lotsa patina ... franken?

Hmm, the vintage dress chrono bug seems to have bitten me badly... and this time with UG...

I'm normally not a big fan of heavy patina, but the moderately brown patina is actually quite appealing (at least to me) with the RG case. And the patina at least reduces the chance this is a redial (which I don't think it is).

I think the hands are correct. Movt (cal 287) seems OK? Not sure about crown though. Case is somewhat polished but I can live with that.

My questions are:
1. Is this a franken? I can''t quite find a similar one using google and the reference no. from the seller (Ref 12545)
2. what are those stubby things protruding inwards from the lugs in the movement picture? do they replace spring bars? Does one just kind of shimmy a strap onto them??

Thanks folks for your advice and opinions!

This case requires female spring bars seen here.

Impossible to know if it is "all-original", but all of the parts are correct, and as you said, not a redial. The seller has peddled some obvious frankens in the past, but this one appears to be kosher. The movement, however, is missing a screw.

The unavoidable topic then becomes the price. I would consider the lugs to be very over-polished and there is a lot of spotting on the dial. Missing screw, polished case, and dial - all good bargaining points, if you decide to proceed with the purchase.

To be Frank 😉, (blame @ulackfocus)

Thank you Jordan for that very detailed analysis, and also for providing context about the seller. Much appreciated!
