I think a Tritium Speedmaster would make you a solid 2 watch collection.

Doesn’t have to be vintage but I support dressier option unless you don’t ever wear more elegant clothing in which case a pilot watch or a chrono would be a good sport companion.

I like the idea of vintage but don't even know where to get started.
What do you like? Gold? Gold cap? Steel? What color dial? What shape hands? Do you care whether it's a chronometer? (hint: this old, that won't matter much)

Probably steel, light-colored dial, don't care about chronometer, probably something larger for vintage (>=36?) since I am a bigger guy with 7.25 inch wrist. Something that isn't integrated where I can change a strap. Other than that I don't know that I know enough to answer the questions ha.

Best place to start is the ‘what are you wearing’ thread. At the very least you have a massive list of watch photos that you can start deciding a vintage ‘style’ you like. As far as tracking down a ‘good one’, best bet is the sale section of the forum.

Only Omega or other brands? Price range? Longines, Bell and Ross, Oris have some decent affordable offerings.

First thought was the last series 1861 Speedmaster, but you may not want a chronograph. Speedmaster should be in every collection, even a two watch.😉

Open to all ideas. Can't decide if I really like the Speedmaster or not.

Same size wrist as me... this is my accumulation of Omega (except for the Lemania). Perhaps something might capture your interest.

The obvious choice for a new watch is a nice hesalite Speedmaster. Looks good on a bracelet, a strap, a NATO if you really must…

If you prefer dressy, Calatrava if it’s in the budget, any of the thousands of vintage manual wind three handers if you don’t want to spend the top side of ten or fifteen grand.

I would add a chronograph (Speedmaster, Zenith El Primero, etc) or a nice 3-hand sports/dress watch with a smaller case (think Aqua Terra, Rolex Explorer/OP/Datejust, Cartier Santos).

I personally think a Santos de Cartier with the blue dial would compliment that Seamaster nicely.

That's a lovely bunch of watches there! What is the diameter on the top right? How does it look on your wrist?

That's 34mm. I think it looks fine. The reference number is 166.010, and it's quite popular.

Thanks. Very cool. I could def see me rocking that on a leather strap.

Definitely needs to be a dress watch. If you're sticking with Omega and want something new, a DeVille Prestige or a Constellation Globemaster, both on a leather strap, would do very nicely. If vintage Omega, you can never go wrong with a pie pan Constellation or, for less money, any number of the dressier Seamaster references.

I cannot for the life of me figure out why the DeVille gets no love.
