Sell the Rolex...Easy enough to replace and far less classy than the other two...

That 5 digit ref Sub with lug holes is for sure a keeper. Best configuration for a Sub imo.
For those advising to sell it.......you are probably biased and not in touch with the market. A good example is getting harder to find and the price is steadily getting higher.

Out of the 2 chronos......I like them both, however a Sub and a Speedy is one of the best pair to have. Both iconic and great watches.....especially the Sub, which can take a lot more abuse than the other 2 put together.

Some great answers, thank you guys.. I would keep all three if I could.. I’ve had the speedy for over 5 years.. The AVI is my latest addition.. And the longer I have it in my possession and the more I find out about it, the more in love I am falling for it..

They’re both lovely watches with distinct aesthetics. I get the collector’s value of the Breitling but personally I’d probably keep the Omega. I find the white subdials to be quite aggressive on the Breitling - again just personal taste based solely on internet pictures. In person, I might feel differently.
Under the assumption that you will rotate the watch you keep into your wear, let me throw another question out there for you, would you hesitate to wear either watch out? Is the collectibility so great on the either that you’d wear it less?

Genuinely surprised to hear this. Isn't that a 14060M sub? There a literally hundreds of those for sale in similar condition on C24 currently, are there not?

Not trying to antagonize or anything, just would like to learn something new if that is indeed some rarer variant and they are hard to find.

    Isn’t the 14060M a no-date model ?

Damn, sry. Yes it is. So that must be the 16610 , is it not?

But the question remains the same , aren't those quite plentiful and there hundreds of those for sale also.

I would keep the 765, sell the other 2, buy a 6digit submariner, and a vintage Constellation, and maybe add something with a blue dial.

I would tell the Speedy not to let the door hit it in the ass on the way out.

...and a '66 CB is one of my grails, too. But it pales next to that Breitling (and I usually don't like the looks of Breutlings)

Maybe thousands are up for sale and yet this doesn't change what I said.

    Devil is in the detail.
Same ref has dials with luminova and tritium. Also, with lug holes and without.

If you are after an unpolished example with tritium dial, lug holes case and full set....you are gonna pay more than a regular 16610 (unless its a Kermit).
Expect to pay around 9k, plus or minus. Same as a new Submariner.

Why? Because these dials are the last ones in a Sub to be subject to a patina thanks to the tritium. No more yellow lume with the age in the newer ones with luminova. The switch was made in 1998.
Also, the holes in the lugs are preferred by wis like me because is damn easy to put on a nato strap whenever you wanna change the look of your watch or you wanna go for a Bond look !

That Sub is a keeper imo, cant think of a better watch for evey day wear. Serviced profesionally, this watch can take pretty much anything. The other ones don’t. I would not wanna be caught in a heavy rain with the Breitling on my wrist or fall in the pool with the Speedy on.

Yes... My Submariner (tritium 16610) is my go-everywhere watch..One becomes very attached to them..! Cannot take the other two anywhere near water!!

A Seiko SKX007 can do the job as well, which allows you to keep the two beautiful vintage pieces ;)

Yes I’ve had a couple of SKX007s..I love their waterproof/rugged capabilities.. But the Submariner has the crown when it comes to dive watches.. In more ways than one..

Indeed, when I sold all of my other modern watches, my 16610 is the only one that I kept. For rainy days. Unfortunately, it not tritium, but still serves its purpose.
