路Long time without making strap but I found some spare time to work on leather dying wich is a fun part I didn鈥檛 mentioned before.
Here are some example with the starting leather ( light cream ) and the results (with distressed effect )
Dark brown / grey
Tan

I had to clean the old leather and treat it to make it usable.
Buckles are no problem, I have several from old faux leather bands that bit the dust. The buckles being the only good thing about those.

If I had your tools I would give it a try.I've seen some videos about strap making and I like them a lot.
I have this piece of leather that it would make a great strap.

路I realised it has been almost a year now since I start this thread ... and i realised also all the mistake I made in this tutorial ... so the best advise for those who want to start or try making leather strap is to practice ... practice and practice again ...
Here is now my best level ... until I will also learned something new ... and i will for sure ...
