I was wondering whether, with the current rise and rise of Tudor as a major player in the market, whether a general ‘show us a photo of your Tudor’ thread existed? (also thought it might be better to sit in the Rolex thread?) If not, I’ll start with the ETA BBN 79220N I bought from new in the winter of 2015/16. Love it! 👍

I'll second your choice. This is an old photo, taken when we could freely fly, but the watch is still with me.

Which one do you like better and why?

I like the BB58 better, as it's just a little more comfortable. For me, the thickness of the BB58, at 11.9mm, is more comfortable than the GMT at 14.7mm. But I wouldn't give up either.

I'm torn between the two. I really want one of those to be my next purchase. But I still have a bathroom renovation to finish and I'm also trying to replace my daily driver lol. Priorities...
I'm leaning towards the BB58 over the GMT. I want something with a blue dial and while I like the GMT there is another GMT I want more.
It is becoming more unrealistic for me with every passing day but I would like a Polar 16570 to fill my GMT slot.

Been a fan of Tudor for many a year , since I bought a 79090 blue about 25 years ago when no one was that interested in them , I wore it pretty much as my everyday watch for a few years . But I moved on to other watches as you do , and it sort of didn’t get much use until I asked to my wife would she like to wear it ,So it’s now petty much her daily wearer and her favourite watch . And I bought the 58 blue beginning of last December as a impulse buy , I was walking past my local AD spotted one on display & said take my money please . I’m very happy with it & Im probably in the minority on the bracelet as it’s fits really well and is very comfortable ( but more micro adjustments would be a great addition ) .

Love me some tudor!! I wear my Pelagos almost daily for the last 2 years and I have a prince oysterdate in 38mm that I took off original bracelet and put on a horween. The 38mm jumbos are becoming quite collectible and tougher to find.

Also picked up a vintage 1940's 28mm at an estate sale for a steal. Trying to find a crown which seems to be a challenge, thought it was one of those oyster patent 5.4mm but too big, anyone know the correct size??

not one of the common one(s)
😀

Nice. I’ve always liked the North Flag. I’m not a bracelet person though. If there was a way to fit a regular strap to it (even an aftermarket adapter) I’d have bought one years ago.

I like Tudors a lot. Plan on possibly owning one someday but plans can be tricky. I do wonder, and perhaps someone here knows or will correct me if I’m wrong but it seems the BB58 is a very hot watch for flippers. There are certain sites I go to and they are always well stocked with people who have high transaction numbers selling the BB58. It looks like a fine watch to me that I wouldn’t think twice about wearing but why are they so hot with flippers or am I just by chance seeing a lot of people who didn’t bond with their watch everyday over and over.

I think the BB58’s used to be hard to get, but now most AD’s have them in stock and buying one for a marked up price or even MSRP on the secondary market makes no sense.
