·Hello all,
servicing a good friend‘s cherished Tudor Big Block, I accidentally dropped the balance cock and, of course, broke a balance staff pivot. Did I really kill the only movement part which is not replaceable from the vast pool of ETA/Valjoux spares?
More precisely: Am I right to assume that a balance (or balance staff only) for the usual Valjoux Incabloc (which is easily found) will not be compatible with the KIF shock settings which Tudor chose in their wisdom?
Does anyone have an idea where I can get either a balance complete or a balance staff for the KIF variant? Is there any other 7750 version using the KIF setting which does not fire up the greed of obscure mediterranean eBay sellers, asking for 800 bucks for a „Big Block“ balance (which I think is a stiff penalty for my clumsiness)?
Thanks - Marcus
