You only lose value if you sell it. Solution = don't sell it.
THIS!!!!!

My thoughts exactly…👍

Stopped in an AD after a meeting today since it was close by.
I did not expect them to have a GMT (they of course did not) but I wanted to at least try on a regular Black Bay.
Compared to my other watches...it was THICK! I did not really expect it to be that thick of a case.
But just for fun I asked him if they resolved the date wheel issue and he said something along the lines of as far as I know, yeah lol.

I bought one in June. They said all resolved too…mine is faultless, very accurate and a delight to wear.

Has anyone sent theirs in for the date wheel service recently? I need to send mine in but I really don't want to part with it for the 3+ months I've heard it takes, at least during the pandemic :/

I sent my GMT to the RSC in Dallas and got it back in 2.5 months. It has run perfectly since.

Not sure a dealer is going to tell you that the problem hasn't been fixed - it's their job to sell the watches after all.

I still see reports of watches that have been fixed, having the issue come back (as recently as a few months ago), so not 100% sure it's really fixed yet.

I'll probably get around to dropping it off once I've got another modern diver or two to ease the pain of missing it.

Last I read, it was thought to be an inherent design flaw rather than a manufacturing QC issue - but that was maybe a year or so ago so maybe they've figured it out since then?

Moved mine after dealing with the date wheel issue...it is such a beautiful watch, though.

I know I will own it again at some later date.

I for sure know that I have to take what he said with a grain of salt.
I just wanted to see what his response would be. I didn't really expect anything different than the answer he gave me though hah.
