I'm looking at picking up one of thee in blue or black, having exhausted my patience on the OP39/36 waitlists. Purpose is really a daily wearer that is accurate, legible, well-built and can be worn pretty much anywhere wet or dry -- which means, at present, be worn around the house to which I and mine are presently confined. Closest things I have at present for this are a GS quartz which is wonderful but not always easy to read and an elderly Damasko that I've handed on to my son. The other option I'm really considering for the job is an IWC Spitfire, but there's a pretty big price gap in Canada.

Be safe and well,

I love my BB41. I think the proportions of the dial are even better on the BB36, but it looked too small on my wrist (around 7.75"). It's easy to dress up or down, it's very legible, and it keeps good time. I haven't tracked mine in a while, but I recall it being around +/- 8 sec a day.

The main con for many people is the size and weight. I think it looks good on my wrist, but it is a bit tall and the straight sides and lugs gives it a bit of a bold wrist presence.

Good luck with your decision!

Many thanks for the detailed reply and pix. My wrist is just under 7", but I own and wear a Pelagos just fine. I also prefer the proportions of the 36 and it seems anecdotally to wear larger than its size. Local AD is offering 15% off and no taxes at the moment, so thought it might be a good time to jump on this. Thanks again for the input.

FWIW, BB36 on my wrist:

I agree that it wears a bit big for its size. And, if you have a Pelagos, then you are familiar with the rather beefy dimensions of Tudor's lineup. good luck!

I think the BB36 is a lovely watch. I was lucky enough to pick up a nearly new OP36 with the blue Explorer dial. I think the BB36 compares very favourably with the OP36. If I hadn't found the Rolex, I would have been more than happy with the Tudor. Here's my OP36 on my 7ins wrist for reference. Just the perfect size for this style of watch IMHO.

My fave OP! I've been on the list for that one too, but they seem to be thin on the ground still. Only one I've seen recently was in Hudson Yards and it was on hold for a buyer. I do like the solidity of the Tudor, tho the sunburst dials are fab.

This thread made me break out my Tudor today. It's no match for an Explorer or the OP above, but it's a good value. When I got it, I was imagining trading it in towards am Explorer I in a couple years, but now I'm afraid I've got too many memories attached to it.
