Yacht Master owners

I'm actually not an owner...yet. I'm at that point when I am beginning to roll dozens of nice watches into a handful of very nice watches. I'm sure others have been through this or will go through it. The next target is a Yacht Master 116622, blue dial. The deal is in the making even as I type. They are fairly flashy, which usually isn't my thing, but I like that blue dial and platinum media-blasted bezel. Who here as a YM and a story or info to share? I would start, but I can't.

Not much of a story, but here is my 16622 - platinum bezel, platinum dial. At first I thought it would function as a kind of ‘stealth’ monotone sub. But it’s actually one of my watches that people remark on the most … I guess it is quite shiny! I actually find the bi-directional bezel quite useful too.

Not a fan of the new ones but do love these old ones. Though for a more useful size with the same function, I prefer the old Rolex Turn-o-graphs. They give you the rotating bezel and time indicators but also do jump out at you and attract to much attention.

Awesome watches, used to have a 'his 'n' hers' set, now only the 'hers' remains. They have a very slim profile and hug the wrist extremely well. Subtle it was not and that's why mine had to go. I just felt too self conscious wearing it although I wear full gold vintage Omega's on gold bracelets no problem.

I like grey and this isn't too flashy which I also like.

Yacht Master 40 is an amazing watch, one which I think is very underrated and one that people move into from the likes of Subs and Explorers...very distinguished watch imho.
