I was hoping to get some help with that here. Many PMs asking to buy but I have no idea how to price this watch.

Funny as most of your interactions on the forum is selling watches.

If a dealer asked the forum for price help 😗

Asking the forum how much a watch is worth then listing it on the forum a few days later.....

Also

NO SALES ON BEHALF OF A FREIND - This is because should an issue arise and it gets messy, you the seller are at fault not the guy whose watch it is. Should it also get lost in transit and funds have been exchanged from you to your friend, will he give the buyer his cash back

If she’s willing to sell to US please PM me. I’d be interested. Thanks

Lots of interest for this watch but all of it's coming from outside Canada. I really thought Canadian collectors would be interested.

Look what this RR just sold for...
US $3,157.57
https://www.ebay.com/itm/174406352514?ul_noapp=true

That is astonishing. With only three bids either someone really wanted it or shill bidding was involved.

I paid US$840.00 for a RR Chronometre (with a flaking dial) on ebay in May this year.

The only completed auction I could find was the one Moahunter listed. Can you post the link to the auction?

Yes they are but I've never handled a Railrouter before and previous sales are few and far between for me to do some decent research on pricing.

If a dealer asked the forum for price help 😗

What?

Asking the forum how much a watch is worth then listing it on the forum a few days later.....

I didn't get much help here, the owner would like to sell so we talked and settled on a price she was comfortable with.

The only person who seems to have an issue with this is you STANDY. This is the second time you've busted my balls about a listing. First was the watch lot I posted which ended up getting that listing taken down before DLT222 intervened and put it back up. If you have an issue with me by all means PM me and we'll talk.

I really get the impression that you were the kid in class who would remind the teacher that they forgot to give out homework assignments.

So you don’t see anything wrong with asking the forum for pricing before you sell here....?

Well It does say no sales for friends in the rules. (I did cut and paste the paragraph from the rules)

And you state your Selling it for someone else.

I get you were the kid in class that wanted his own rules.

And no issue with you at all. Will call out anyone that does the same like most here do.

No I don't. I asked for help with a watch that I've never seen before and couldn't find too much info on. No one else seems to have an issue with it, save yourself STANDY.

Yes I know that, I've read the sales forum rules. The listing is still up so I suppose the mods who posted the listing were ok with the listing.

I get you were the kid in class that told the teacher what the other students did when she was out of the room.

Jeez the OP is a nice guy that likes to collect and flip watches from time to time. He also contributes here. Why the nasty tone?

I broke the OP's balls about pricing in a friendly manner as obviously he isn't calling the shots with the watch coming from his friend, but never would I think he isn't going to assume complete responsibility for the sale. He isn't putting any buyers at risk since he already said the watch is now in his possession so what's with the splitting hairs over rules?

As in, @STANDY was just stating the facts.

They are quite clear.

As are the Private Sales Rules.

Because there are rules!

The next time some hit and run newbie else gets criticized for doing the same thing (except on eBay), we’ll hear about it, big time.

We can’t have one set of rules for some people and not for others.

That's why we have moderators here. They made a decision to let this thread and my Private Sales listing stand.

And I don't appreciate being compared to a hit and run newb, @gatorcpa.

Hi guys

I sold that watch earlier this month but it had a better dial on it when I sold it .... for 1900$

guess the buyer really knew what he was doing swapping the dial and making about a 1k in the process .... and it was fought over by only two bidders .

Good hunting
