its been a long search but i finally got my grail Sea Dweller, a 1972 DRSD with a beautiful tropical dial. I also have a mk3 and a mk4 DRSD but i always wanted one with the caramel dial. The watch is in very good condition and the caramel patina on the mk2 dial is very even. A great addition to my collection.

Lovely! the case is in great shape too. A really great example. Congratulations on finding your grail after what I am sure was a very long search.

That really is a beautiful watch! And it's obviously been well-worn and used as it was made to be, and not stuffed away in a safe! Incredibly beautiful patina...I love it!

That is one solid MkII! The case is beautiful. Many 1665s of this era have been overly polished.
Great acquisition. Congrats!

Thank you for the compliment. I have looked at other tropical DRSDs before but something wasn’t right. This one fits the bill, well used, unmolested and with a killer dial.
