Hi all,
After some time tracking them down.
Here are some totally gratuitous pics of my set of three 1980's "grail' Speedmasters.
Speedmaster ref. 376.0822 'The Grail' automatic.
Speedmaster ref. 345.0809 'Speedymoon'
Speedmaster ref. 345,0808 'Apollo XI'
All with the elusive 1450 bracelets.
Hope you like them.

A great set, congrats ! 👍

Are you planning to look for the first gen 345.0808 to complete the trilogy?

Congratulations on your set 👍
The 1450 bracelets are looking good!
I especially like the Apollo XI numbered edition, I have the unnumbered edition on a 1479 bracelet 😉
Wich version of moon do you have on your 345.0809?
How long did you hunt?

I will certainly update to the first gen when a ‘correct’ one becomes available.
I’ve chased a couple but they’ve had issues.

Unfortunately, it seems I have a strange ‘hoarder’ gene.
I have many watch collecting ‘projects’ - some completed and others just starting.
This set started with the ‘Grail’ around 5 years ago.
The Speedymoon has the small moon disc.

Amazing trio

I’ve been scoping out a lot of forums / for sale sites for a 376.0822 myself but the prices seem all over the place at the moment.

I found the same thing when I was putting the set together.
Unfortunately, there are very few all original ‘grails’ available. I found many that had been fitted with service /swapped parts.
I think that anyone who has an all original 376.0822 will only sell at top price because of rarity - and the others find their own level.
Thus the disparity in price.

Thanks for the feedback- much appreciated

agree - it’s a minefield out there & even a lot of the dealers use language such as ‘period correct’ dial/ hands when you can clearly see they don’t match.

I guess it’s a waiting game until the right watch pops up & hope I’m quick enough
