It's not Tuesday... BUT this is a very cool Speedy any day of the week! And one you don't see Stateside often, as it originally was a Japanese market exclusive - the triple calendar Omega Speedmaster ref 3523.80 with an AWESOME blue sunburst dial. This one not only comes full box and papers, but all the goodies down to the 30 year anniversary moon landing badge PLUS a full service from Omega last year including the receipt. (This originally belonged to a collector after my own heart - the collector who keeps EVERYTHING!) I don't believe you'll find a more complete set of this reference. REFERENCE: 3523.80 SERIAL NUMBER: 57,01X,XXX DATE: 2001 DIAL: Absolutely STUNNING! A blue that goes from dark royal to vibrant sunburst depending on the light, with that sweet pop of red on the day marker. Even though the Speedmaster started its life as a racing watch, I do not recommend driving with this particular one because you will be distracted (trust me...) CASE: Crisp and clean 39mm case with great original lines and that classic brushing on the sides. Just beautiful! Light wear as you’d expect given the age, including on the stainless bezel, but all in an fantastic example. (As always, my photos are taken in bright natural light with a very strong macro lens. Which means every little scratch is accentuated, so a watch coming from me will look 10 times better in person.) CRYSTAL: Sapphire crystal, under macro/loupe there is very light wear, again as expected - but overall in great shape, showing off that dial perfectly. MOVEMENT: The Omega cal 1151 automatic received a full service from Omega Japan last year, and comes with the service card from Omega as well as the receipt. So no surprise it’s running beautifully, chrono functions perfectly and everything snaps back to 12 as it should, keeping time to within 5 seconds a day. BRACELET: Comes on its original Omega bracelet which is currently sized to 7 inches, but of course everything was kept so it comes with the extra 2 links - all in can fit almost 8 inches. Bracelet is in beautiful shape too. ACCESSORIES: Maybe the original owner’s family considered them a hoarder, but I’m grateful for them! Double boxed (even the inner red box is in surprisingly near mint condition) Omega card, Omega service card from 2022 with receipt, all the booklets and little cards/paperwork that originally came from the dealer PLUS the incredibly cool 30 year moon landing badge in its original envelope. (This reference was first released in 1999 during the 30 year anniversary.) Just awesome to have this complete!
