Hey guys, I picked up this watch at today's Sotheby's auction. I've been in the market for a Speedmaster and had never seen one of these before this auction. I think it's beautiful with the pink gold bezel and really hadn't explored or ventured into the world of triple calendar moonphase. Also came with box, card and booklet which I thought was nice. https://www.sothebys.com/en/buy/auc...ga-reference-175-0044-speedmaster-a-stainless For me, I think the watch is a beauty and can't wait for its arrival. Does anybody know much about these watches? I've tried looking a bit on the internet and can't really find much. Also seems like it wasn't too popular and there aren't a ton online. Any info would be a plus! Happy Labor day J

When gold must do more than glitter. why i bought mine many many years ago. because of this story behind one person (long lost the link to his website) who saw this advert on the cover of a magazine on a plane, couldnt find one and went to build one resembling it.
I’ve been on the hunt for the 18k version, full set for a couple of years now but I don’t want to pay a crazy price for one. I’ll keep scouring eBay until it happens
for a full gold bracelet and all, I thought these (in links below) looked very reasonable (in fact downright under-priced and if I haven't have gold watches I would have negotiated and grabbed one of them assuming they are in good working conditions) https://www.chrono24.com/omega/speedmaster-professional-moonphase-18k-gold-automatic--id15144782.htm https://www.chrono24.com/omega/speedmaster-triple-calendar-moon-18k-gold--id14584532.htm
