I haven’t been able to find much additional information on this variant with older style dial and candlestick hands. Maybe there’s not much to say?

Is it generally considered correct, albeit traditional in construction?
Is it a more or less desirable variant? ( I’m assuming less)
If less, is it worth the hunt to find the earlier hand style?

I am new bit I have ben résident you for a While
I have Just been offered this stunning Seamaster 300 réf 165.014 serial 19.973.440 on a mater Strap 1035/522.
For you this dial is authentic and natural or relumed, modified …..
As it is 50% of the Watch I wonder

I has no signs of age at all so must be a new dial and handset.

The pictures are terrible for assessing overall condition in detail but why do you say that’s a new dial rather than a well preserved vintage one?
Purely the condition?

I see nothing that says the dial and hands are “new”
Looks like well preserved Tritium to me

agreed. not all of them had seals fail. My 024 has a basically perfect dial, and its handset has some metal corrosion. Tritium on both is perfect and matching.
