So, who's going to buy a LE watch made a year before the major event that finally didn't happen? ::stirthepot::

::rimshot::

It will be interesting, because even if the overall global situation improves and the Games go ahead, not every country will be in the same place. You can easily imagine that there will be countries that have not gotten the pandemic under control, and it's going to be very messy.

For example, does Japan let any US athletes in the country, if the situation there doesn't improve? If they do let the US in, do other countries stay away because of that? There are lots of sports that can go ahead and maintain physical distancing, but many that can't, so do they allow some sports to go ahead and cancel others?

Trust me, all these conversations are happening behind the scenes in pretty much every countries Olympic Committee's and NSO's as we speak. Even though I have good friends who will be at these Games should they go ahead, and I would hate to see any of them lose that opportunity, I'm not very hopeful that we will have the Olympics next year.

No, no, no, that's not real pain. Where's arm hair matted with congealed blood? :whipped:

Edit: found your old photo.... ok, so not quite congealed blood, but this looks more painful...

If the Games aren't held in JULY 2021 because Covid is still running around we have a lot more to worry about, most economies will be flat on their back with another year of this 'some businesses open, some businesses closed, no indoor dining, some indoor dining, some schools open, some schools closed, some countries open, some countries closed, no spectators at sports', etc, etc. They will roll out some sort of vaccine later this year or early next even if it is only 40-50% effective to get people over the often irrational fear many are having. Tokyo games will almost assuredly be held on the new timetable.

I wear these watches all the time. I think this is some kind of joke. You'd have to wear it choking off your wrist for this to happen.

It's @Longbow 's story. Here's where he posted.... https://omegaforums.net/threads/beautifully…-flawed-a-review-of-the-speedmaster-professional-limited-edition-tokyo-2020-panda.106586/

@bigsom, I don’t know why I have such a reaction to this particular case back; the watch isn’t worn particularly tight, but then again I don’t wear any watch so loose that it would look like it’s going to slide over my hand either.

I’ve been wearing my regular speedy for weeks now, also quite tight, but that hardly leaves a mark.

So in the interests of gathering objective evidence I’ll swap my normal Speedy for the Tokyo Panda and see how things look later today and post the results.

Washed

and ready for the shootout

Tightness reference

@Longbow, where did you buy your Olympic speedmaster from anyway? I'm considering buying one but don't know a trusted AD or seller that has these models. Any suggestions?

Did you make the purchase in person or order it from the store and have it shipped internationally?

I like it! It's like a wedding ring grove. If you take it off and wear a Rolex your omega stamp will show you're cheating!
