Thanks. Hands are all the same (silver)? Can you provide a lume shot showing the difference? If not, what do you mean by "different"?
Cheers!
Yes both hands are silver, but felt like they are not exactly the same part numbers. Also chrono hand on Tokyo has red tip.
Lume color in broad daylight seems to have a greenish tint on the Mitsukoshi. The Tokyo 2020 is more white. Especially noticeable on the hand lumes. Maybe due to the different age.

Torn between the Tokyo 2020 panda and a sapphire sandwich with Mitsukoshi mod. Like this dial better, but assume they won't hold in the $7.5 to $8.5k range after the Olympics. And the 1863 is so nicely decorated!

Though given that they are country-specific and a little hard to find, I think Tokyo Panda might hold value quite fine.

When I handled one in Tokyo last year I thought the hands were more matt/satin than polished which I thought made it easier to read.

Hmm. I checked mine and it was silver/polished. Here's a video I found online also showing the same finish https://www.instagram.com/p/BxnjpGxHHRq/

Newbie here, just to update, pretty much 4/5 tokyo speedys are still available in ADs in Tokyo. Only the panda is pretty much sold out

If they have been released internationally I think that they would have sold a significant number. I liked both bi-colours. I prefer that standard 1861 movement. Given the choice I would rather have one of these than the AP11 50th. Not sure if I can find the time to fly to Japan to get one.

They are attractive but traditionally Olympic Games themed models have not faired well residually. These may buck that trend though as they echo some famous Speedy dial designs.

The grainy platinum dial with red bezel is the pick for me but I wouldn't pay a premium.

Congrats. Tried to get two of them - rising sun and panda - but they couldn’t ship to me. Needed to collect in Japan, and I am not due there.

Would you like me to pick one up for you?
