Sorry about your brother, may he rest easy on the other side. It resonated with me as I have thought about giving my brother one of my watches. After being reminded that we never know when our time is up, it will be sooner rather than later. The very best to you and your family and hopefully your grief will ease soon.

I offer my deepest condolences. Although you can no longer have a conversation with him, I am quite sure that your Izzy lives on quite strongly. As you say he has touched so many people with his kindness and good heart. He has shown others what it means to be a good person, and when those people are kind to others that is Izzy living on.

A worn watch is such a personal heirloom. The memories and marks a watch bares are infinitely more valuable than the monetary value of a watch. Wear all of them with pride!

Awful to hear of your loss, makes me feel a little sick and deflated every time I hear about something like this, which is all too common these days. But, your beautiful story speaks to the strength and closeness of your relationship. And many siblings never have that.

My condolences, to you and your family. I can feel the pain of the loss but as importantly the one of not having been able to be at his side on his last days.
Cherish the memories of him, and so he will always be at your side in your heart.
My prayers to you

There’s nothing I can add that hasn’t already been said, Larry, but please know I’m thinking about you and sending good vibes to you and your family.

This forum is really something. Although none of us will probably ever meet, we are all part of this strange and wonderful community.

So sorry for your loss Larry, and also for yours @krogerfoot . I have a younger brother I love dearly and I cannot bear the thought of how I would cope if something bad happens to him.
Heartfelt condolences.

I’m sure this was not easy for you to write. My deepest condolences to you and your family. I have an older brother whom I adore and speak to on a daily basis, I can’t imagine life without him. He and I share our love for watches and over the years I too have provided him with many ‘gifts’. Those represent some of the most precious moments in my life, just seeing the smile on his face and the satisfaction he gets in wearing them.

I’m very sorry for your loss.

Many have written more eloquently than I ever could. You and your brother had a strong bond and a shared love of watches. It sounds like he treasured those watches as much as you do now. Wear them in remembrance and joy of your relationship.
