Good evening OF'ers,

I'm looking at this jumbo Tissot (never had a tissot) from the 50's. Looks very nice although the case is polished. But what disturbs me is the fact that the 'i' in tissot does not have a dot while most examples I saw on the web have a dot. What do you think? Ok?

That’s very well spotted. Of course, it may just be a poor photo but I think you’re right to be suspicious. But I think you’ve made all the points already.

looks too clean and too white to be original and not redial.
But it's just my feeling.

And, original or redial, €199 is way, way over the odds.

And, the downward stroke on the first 'T' is too short.

If you want a nice redial it’s way too expensive, and if you’re looking for an original pass on it. eBay has more and better for less, for starters

That is due to paint covering the bottom of the T.

No. It was just a 'fun' watch for me. Nothing serious. I was scrolling a bit for jumbo watches.

I was recently tempted by a black dial Seamaster until @X 350 XJR very helpfully set me straight.
That’s one of the things that’s great about OF
