·Hi everyone,
Thanks in advance for any help.
I recently picked up this Omega Seamaster with a caliber 550 and have a few questions about it. The watch is running well after a recent service, but I’m trying to determine whether the dial is original or has been refinished.
The dial has a “clamshell” texture, and there is no “SWISS” or “SWISS MADE” marking below the 6 o’clock marker. The inside case back is marked GX6250, which I believe is a U.S. market reference with an L&K gold filled case.
Has anyone come across this dial configuration before? Does it look original to you, or do you think it has been refinished? I’d also be interested in any information about the GX6250 reference, as there doesn’t seem to be much documented on it.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
