Hey guys,

last week I found this Tissot Ref. 6215 Chrono with some questions. The watch itself is stunning: loveley dial, perfect condition case and of course, the movement. A calibre CH27-12, the predecessor to the Omega 321.

What puzzles me are three things.

I. I havnt found a second dial of this variant. Wether in this reference nor in the 6216 watertight case. Does someone have seen a similar dial to mine? I asked @Vitezi if he thinks the dial looks legit, and he has no doubt. This was something I was afraid of. Thanks for the help again 😀

II. The number on the movement is just a 51. Usally I would expect a serial number that is longer. There is also no other place with a serial. The caseback just says 6215-5. Any Idea what the 51 could hint to?

III. Last thing is the number on the case. I can see a 4, but what is the other ones? Looks like a possible star, but no number.

Thanks guys, now enjoy the pics of this gem.

Nico

SN under the dial, ends in 51 to match the escape wheel bridge?

Hm, will find out during service. Another remark was, that these are the markings of the watchmakers that assembled the chronograph movement. I know that @Vitezi has another one with number 47 in his archive. I guess if we find a movement with the same number, we know for sure. The "47" watch also has a serial number in the caseback that doesnt end with 47.

Thanks for the comments so far.

Number 47:

Case and movement serials on #52 seem to be in line with #47.

case number is also just 5 numbers away. Interesting!
