This is NOT one of the 145.022's in the serial # range of the dials
that were improperly manufactured with less than or missing
Zapon coating and/or black color mixture problems that turn
Brown.
Putting the watch up as a BIN is silly. You don't know the value.
And no one here can tell you what it is because they can't
point to a comparable sale. But it's your watch.

Why don't you keep it? It's a beautiful piece, that's for sure.

You think the year of the Omega is 1967?

Dear Forum Members,
The box which the Omega leatherette came in, says Burgundy dial.

Indeed, you may not get any results on the standard channel (email) with Omega Museum.

I see a bit of dial discoloration (turning brown, which is splendid and popular with the 69 dials). Considering the bezel and the dial font and the pre-moon back i bet this is actually a ST 145.022-69.
This should bring a premium because the watch is a rare bird to the market (not for the ref. but for the condition) so you may want to check how others have sold in the past.
I would advise not to auction it on ebay but put a BIN / Best offer on it.
I have a feeling that if you'll put it up for sale here: http://omegaforums.net/forums/watches-for-sale/ you'll get some nice offers too (in case you haven't been approached already).
GLWS.. if you need any!

Where would I find information of previous sales?

Am I the only one who hates to hear a watch referred to as a "piece" ? I have 99 things that I call a piece but a watch ain't one.

I have that same feeling when people discover beautiful watches and are mainly interested in how much they are worth. 馃檨

I have been researching this special timepiece for quite sometime. It is a beautiful artistic work of art. If you have been following the thread, you would know what others have posted, and given me a wealth of information regarding the watch, which I had not known. When you become a teacher you will understand what it is like to become a life long learner.

My comment was not directed at you, more something i notice in general. My non-watch-enthusiast friends sadly seem to combine the sentences 'nice watch!' with 'how much is it worth?' Instead of 'what does it do?'

It is sad, but young people do no use watches anymore; they use their mobile phones for everything, including telling the time. Most watches belonging to the present generation will be sold by the next that inherit them.

Oh I don't know about that, quite a few of us are young guys, there's a real trend towards blokes in their 20s not dressing like slobs anymore, and watches, money clips, tie clips etc are very common now, especially in finance/law.
