Timeographer apps

Hi everyone,
Does anyone have experience with various timeographer phone apps?
I used to have Kello but was kind of disappointed it didn’t have amplitude- only estimates of seconds delay or advance. Still useful to buy at a flea market or at a fair but that doesn’t happen so much thesr days.

On the British forum TZ-UK people had mentioned other apps a few years ago… Watch Tracker seemed to have many fans.
nowadays Watch Tuner Timeographer seems to have a handful of good reviews- and it offers two more simple variations.
Has anyone tried them— and are there better options available?

Curious to hear as I miss my app. It kind of vanished in some sync incident.

I use this with very good success. It's for a computer, not a phone. It gives correct amplitude if you input the proper lift angle. I also like that it shows beat error, and the acoustic profile is useful to assist in detecting movement issues. It's also free.

Thanks M, silly question: how do you determine the lift angle? Afraid I might not be enough of a geek for this 😬

I just tried Watch Tuner (the medium version for people who don’t need frequency, just amplitude and beat error) and it doesn’t seem to be working at all, or at least not with me or not on this watch.

There are various lists out there with the lift angle for many movements. Otherwise, the way to determine this is to visually confirm the balance amplitude to an easily determined value, like 180 degrees, then adjust the lift angle on the timing machine so it reads 180. A phone with slow motion video is quite helpful for this if you haven’t done it before.

Just a little warning, that these devices may show you things that you might not want to see...

Hello all,

Been a while since I’ve dealt with watches, have had many life changes which have claimed my attention but back at it for today.
How time flies!

Any new apps people would recommend?
The old App I had has been lost in a phone clearing accident.
Many thanks again, missing all of you and the good conversationa here.

I can't help with apps, I just use a timegrapher, but it's awfully good to see you posting. I hope all has been well with you.

Thank
Thank you dear Jim, indeed I was looking for I Phone. I really liked being able to check a watch on the go.
This time it was a friend’s watch she brought to the restaurant. But it’s funny because in the end just listening to the “tic toc” sound 20 mins after we wound it, I could tell the beat wss too fast. Guess I went deep enough to have retained skills 😉

Thanks Walter for the kind words.
