If you've been looking for a Wittnauer valjoux 72 chrono in a collector condition, this is your chance to get one. There's always a 235T for sale somewhere but only very rarely something in such condition will pop up. For sale comes an early variation of the Wittnauer 235T chronograph, predecessor of the famous 235T which was given by Wittnauer to NASA for their space qualification program in 1964. So what do we have here? This particular reference has a very own 'solo' dial signed Wittnauer without any additional writings. The dial is amazing. It is simply perfect. Vivid colors and wonderful lume. The blue hour and minute hands are superb, luminous material on the hands and numerals original and still intact. Behaves as should under UV light : glows and fades quickly. Its 36mm case is great. There are some very light traces but no dings or scratches at all. The caseback is also in a great condition, some light marks of handling - correct reference (6002/5 and 235T) engraved inside. The movement is obviously also super clean. Serviced in January 2020, good for a while. Please note that it's a vintage watch and its water resistance was not tested and is not guaranteed. The buyer has to be aware of that and wear the watch with that in mind. Finally, the watch comes on its original Wittnauer stainless steel bracelet.
