Stock market declines beating up your virtual spending power? I've got good news for you - this vintage chrono-diver with ghost bezel won't break the bank! See below for more info:

Case: Stainless steel case (38mm diameter) is in good condition and appears to be unpolished, with surface scratches but clean, original lines. Caseback is in good condition - the "solo" dial on these first generation chronographs did not show the depth rating, but the caseback does show the namesake 666 foot depth. Crown is a replacement (but serves it's function just fine).

Bezel: The dive bezel (a rare feature on a chronograph) has faded to a beautiful "ghost" shade. The lume pip has been damaged but retains some of the original pearl.

Dial / Handset: Matte blue "solo" dial is in good condition overall, with even, creamy lume plots. There is a very faint mark in between the 6 o'clock and 7 o'clock plots that is only visible when the dial is tilted at an angle. Please see high-res pictures for full detail. Subdials have some markings that are visible when viewed from certain angles. Original hands are in good overall condition with matching lume.

Movement / Functionality: The Devil Diver is powered by a Valjoux 7733 movement, is keeping good time, and functions correctly (start/stop/reset). The watch is sold "as-is" and as such, a service is recommended for the next buyer at some point in the future.

Accessories: The watch comes on a generic Milanese bracelet.

My asking price is $850 or best offer, which includes shipping via USPS (if you would like FedEx Priority shipping, please add $25). Payment via PayPal (F&F or add 3% if using PP) or direct bank wire. US sale strongly preferred. Face-to-face in Chicago is also welcome for local buyers. Returns are not accepted unless I have materially misrepresented something (and I don't believe I have). Finally, I have plenty of references available as a buyer and seller that I can provide if necessary. Thanks for looking and thanks to OF for the space.

QUOTE="eugeneandresson, post: 1692450, member: 30105"]At first glance, thats not this watch (lume pip got cleaned out)....however, I notice the same scratches on the lugs ::confused2:: where is the bracelet?[/QUOTE

Scratch on 3 o'clock subdial, and on main dial section next to 7 o'clock index... Same watch, maybe different pip.

Certainly the same dial. Are they heavily editing their pictures or just using really weird lighting? It looks SO different

I don't know if this is the editing or the lighting or something else or whether they wouldn't even possibly clean up the dials somehow... the rub from 25 to 30 is whiter than the subdial now, whereas it was actually darker on the original pic.But then again I'm not sure they would bother with the extra work on a watch that is so reasonably priced compared to the rest of their offering... this is very confusing...

I'd think its the post processing format of their listing photos. The "darkness" seen on the lower photograph in the subdial and the texture of the dial suggests that it might be a bit too aggressive sharpening practice in play.
