I recently bought this watch at a thriftshop (bingo, find of a lifetime!!!!!!)
I want to open it up to have a look at the movement.
I've opened up some watches before, but this one seems different then the others I openend up.
Can somebody help me what is the easiest way.

If anybody has information about this watch, I would love to hear!

Hello and congrats on the find. If you have to seek advice about how to properly open it I would simply take it to a watchmaker. They will pop it open for a nominal fee and will also give you an estimate on a service, which you will need anyway. Avoid mall kiosk battery changers.

Nice find. Looks like it might be a 30t2 or earlier. I really like the dial. 👍

You'll need a caseknife to pop open the back but I would have a watchmaker do it if you haven't opened a snapback before. It should have a 28.10 bumper movement.

I was thinking a 28.10 or a 342 bumper. Probably too early for a 342.

Here is a thrift store find last summer for .99 cents😀 . Great deal until a scammer stole it from me on eBay.😡

Aw that's awesome.

I'm in California in a standard working class cowboy/ranch type city.

Nobody knows about watches but that also means no watches are being dropped at the thrift stores haha.

I'll keep checking though every once in a while.

I already brought it to a watchmaker because it didn't run, but now I'm curiouse what the watch movement looks like.

I know there is a bumper movement in it, but thats about it.

I have a caseknife, but not very confident I can do it without making scratches. I could go back and ask them to open it up again.

I went to the watchmaker and he opened it up for me.
As DON already showed his 28.10, this is mine with the caseback.
