No, that one's no good if you're looking for something collectible. It has all the standard problems, repainted dial, replaced hands, overpolished case. It's also quite small, and also a bit less desirable because of its locally made case.

Welcome to the forum. Spend a few months reading and studying and you will immediately be able to eliminate watches like that one.

Ah , that makes sense. I guess as a beginner diving into vintage watches, I need to look out especially for those issues. Thanks for the input.

Be cautious with the investment thing as well. When I first joined here I was in a bad way and I was thinking along those lines. Granted there are a lot of sellers and dealers here who I am sure do quite well selling watches but I dropped all that and just look for things I like. It’s a hec of a lot more fun and you can always run across things you can sell to pick up something you like better. Mind you this is just a suggestion you may have a grand plan that will work out well just telling you what I and a few others I’ve talked to ran into early on.

Has this seller got anything that hasn't been reworked? You wouldn't mind but it's the flannel that comes with it!
