Thoughts on this Vintage Seamaster

Obviously get it serviced asap but it's a good watch. I have the steel case version and it's one of my favourites. This model was made from 1965 to 1969. The dial is original and seems to be the luxury model with onyx inserts in the gold markers. Besides the rotor rub mentioned above, the ends of the tension ring (that holds the dial in place) don't quite meet at 3.00. Both issues should be fixable during service.

You wanted a respectable and authentic watch at a good price. You got one. You did better than 95% of first-time buyers.
