Thoughts on this uncommon gold Deville?

Hi team,

I'd be grateful for any thoughts on or experience with this 18k Deville 162.046. I'm drawn to the graduated Damask pattern dial, which seems to be also solid with the "OM" printing. I know it doesn't have a glamorous motor with the 1000 series, but even so I'm strangely attracted to it. 33mm but based in similar slim-bezel gold watches I suspect it would wear bigger. Haven't bought yet, but have found two for sale in the us$3k range, link for this one is below the pic.

Anyone have one? Thoughts? Where does it lie on the "go for it if it floats your boat" to the "WARNING Will Robinson!!!" scale? Thanks as always in advance.

I really like the look, but the case is quite polished and the price very ambitious.

There’s a blue one of these for sale on eBay at the minute. I think they’re quite uncommon but not particularly desirable so they should be cheap.

The gold buckle is incredible, I guess $400 in value there, not many people like 14mm buckles but it's my favourite style, but I think the overall price is high
