I think the chronometer version is the 168.024 (cal 564) but because the caseback of the 166.010 (cal 565) is interchangable with the 168.024 omega used the 166.010 for the 168.024. You also see both of the modelnumbers in the caseback. I have a couple of these as well.

Why do these caseback's look so different? In the picture you posted all of the numbers and letters are very sharp, but on this one I just found the letters seem to have been pressed wrong. Is this cause for concern?

asking price is $1950, trying to work out a trade.

I was looking at the 166.010 a while back (with Cal 565). I think you still can get a good conditioned piece for less than US$1,500 if you are patient and fish on ebay more often.

As reference, at our local sales site someone sold a similar condition 166.010 (recently serviced) for around US$980. It's a good bargain, too bad I was reserving my funds for another speedy.

The numbers on that caseback seems off. Not a straight line. Strange. @shawnc9 I dont think scv55 is looking for the non chronometer version.

Thanks for pointing that out, I was actually referring to the 564. The asking price of the non-chrono version is in the region of around US$600 and up.

@shawnc9 can you please tell if the 564 chronometer version is more desireable than the non-chrono and why? I cannot find the logic answer anywhere on the net.

Because the 564 is a chronometer and better movement

Thanks! I'm currently in the market for this case model and have a couple watches on my watchlis with differrent movements, so I'm trying to clarify things first.

For 2k we are talking Constellation pie pan money I think for that amount of money you can find a better example with a nicer unpolished case , just dont rush buying a watch , the majority of times a rush buy is a buy you will regret thats just my two cents.
