So some Walter Mitty dealer has a meeting with Rolex Fraud. Uh huh. As if Rolex would entertain interacting with this guy. Also bare in mind that he’s stiffed you a non-authentic dial on the watch he sent you, and admitted it.

Please share who this waste of skin dealer is so I can avoid. I would just block all contact with this tool and move on with your life.

Have him make "Rolex fraud" (sic) have a look at the counterfeit dial he sent you and get their opinion on it.

What a cock.

Any litigious action instigated by him would be nothing more than an expensive excercise in futility - any decent solicitor would advise him of that

Consign this fuckwit to the trash bin, and get on with the things in life that matter

I'm sorry, but this dude has all the worst of life coming to him. The fact that he pulled a "I never said the dial was original" is absolutely the shittiest thing I can imagine doing to a customer or colleague.
He probably got shafted by the next shady dude he dealt with who swapped a fake for the real one you sent him, then demanded a refund- now he's trying to pass that back downhill- I think not.

I’d just block him as well. You don’t need these random rants.

What a nutter. US marshal coming for you. Uh huh.

Haha, that’s hilarious. He’s obviously desperate. I wouldn’t even respond, not worth your time.

I seriously think this dude got taken by the next guy he flipped your watch to and is trying to recover his losses by going after you and trying to shake you down. He has no proof, and provided you still have all your photographs and evidence of what you sent him- as well as his correspondence confirming receipt and acceptance- just ignore him.

If he's from Tampa then he might be from the same mold as mullholland. Lot's of slippery watch dealers in that area. I wouldn't give him a second thought. His over-the-top rants come off as a guy looking for his next score so he can buy more crack. you are probably only one of a dozen people he is harassing.

Damn what a douchebag. I suggest blocking his number and any subsequent numbers he tries to contact you from.

I wouldn’t sweat it at this point. The only thing you may consider doing is buying it back at a fair price. Fair price does not necessarily equal what was originally paid (especially due to the trade).

Having someone call a watch counterfeit is certainly nerve racking. I’m sure many of us have had similar experiences, even though most of us aren’t “dealers.” I was once accused of selling a “counterfeit” watch to someone on this very forum. I was obviously worried that something could have snuck by me because the member had, and still has, a great collection.

This was not a run of the mill piece and I did my diligence when I had bought it and looked at other examples. Luckily I had taken numerous photos of the dial, movement, case, bracelet, etc. and nothing indicated it was “counterfeit.” His concern was that it was “too nice” and that when he looked up the watch reference there was a counterfeit website that sold them.

After a few hours of talking and sharing photos, he ended up apologizing. It was absolutely correct, and I had the laborious task of proving it without the watch in hand. Quite frankly, it was frustrating he didn’t do his own research before accusing me of selling a counterfeit watch, but I decided I had to just get over it because stuff like this happens.

In hindsight, I should have asked for the watch back because it was obviously priced too low... 🤔 water under the bridge

I would be worried about buying it back, in case parts had been swapped!

From Wikipedia, Federal Marshals do the following:

The Marshals Service is primarily responsible for the protection of judges and other judicial personnel, the administration of fugitive operations, the management of criminal assets, the operation of the United States Federal Witness Protection Program and the Justice Prisoner and Alien Transportation System, the execution of federal arrest warrants, and the protection of senior government officials through the Office of Protective Operations. Throughout its history the Marshals have also provided unique security and enforcement services including protecting African-American students enrolling in the South during the civil rights movement, escort security for United States Air Force LGM-30 Minuteman missile convoys, law enforcement for the United States Antarctic Program, and protection of the Strategic National Stockpile.

Nowhere in that list do I see where the Marshals' Service spends any time acting as the enforcement arm of a random, crazy Florida Man.

When people resort to cursing and threats that are impossible to act upon, you've won. Move on with confidence.

There’s definitely a part of me that wants to start texting him pretending to be a federal marshall from the Rolex fraud department who has been assigned to his case.

Great minds. I started to write one yesterday before I calmed down. I got pretty annoyed for the OP as I just can't stand bullies and I come up with incredibly inventive ways to mess with them. Oxygen thieves like this just aren't worth mine or the OPs time though

Yup- and the best way to really piss them off is to not play their game- just ignore them. Eventually they give up and move on to live prey.
