·Hi. I'm diving deep into collecting vintage Speedies and I was recently offered a 105.002-62 transitional pre-profession pre moon. The price is fair for a known dealer. Rough bezel, but he said the only blemish on the dial is below the word Speedmaster that you have to use a camera to see. Lume is more beige than the pics shown. No sugar rings in the subdials. Movement was professionally serviced.
The major issue of course is the baton hands. Should be Alpha hands. I can wait to source them.
Is this a good example? Or would you rather invest in an actual 2998 or get a good 105.003 if this was being offered around $11k.
