Thoughts on an Omega Snoopy 55th

I think Omega is in a tough spot nowadays, the logical thing to do is discontinue the 50th anniversary without releasing any new Snoopy model until at least 60th anniversary. The 50th anniversary has had a long run and it does not make sense to continue its production beyond the 55 year mark. Releasing a new Snoopy for the 55th has low significance except being a cash cow and a sale booster for Omega during these tough times.

In my opinion, Snoopy should be more exclusive and a special piece, Omega should not flood the market with different Snoopy version in short span of time (every 5 years). Anyhow, I can bet that the new Snoopy will be 15-20% more expensive than the previous gen.

Only reason why I could see them doing it is because of the weak retail environment. Snoopy Speedies will sell but then it’ll make more sense to just keep churning out Snoopy 50’s.
Maybe, but it would be hard to generate the same sort of buzz again, especially with the novel automation on the reverse side. 50th is a big anniversary, so are 25, 75 and 100th. But we'll see.
