The thing that bugs me is, per the article, it's only available at a Swatch store on August 9 (a one day limited edition?)
They do that annoying one-day thing with all the Moonswatches that have a trace amount of Moonshine gold.

Never fell for the Swatch x Omega plastic watches three years ago (was waiting for my Ed White 321 to be delivered two days after the Swatch's release), so this has zero appeal. $380 can buy some nice straps. The Swatch x Omega tie-up is getting old, imo.

Yawn, another Swatch you can't get unless there's a store in your town.

I'll be pretty surprised if Omega does do a 55th. Seems like an odd anniversary to celebrate especially now that Omega is cutting back on the Speedmaster LE/LP watches. I can see either a 60th or a 65th anniversary and definitely a 75th.

Agree, I don't see a 55th coming, nor a 60 or 65th, but there will be a 75th version, but that's 20 years in the future.

If they do it'll probably be a 1970 piece LE like the 45, made of unobtanium and cost 90k.

I'd be happy if they'd just make enough 50th for those who want one.

My thoughts exactly. This is the one Speedmaster I'd like to own but I'm not paying over retail for one. I'm not losing any sleep over not getting one, though. I'm not going to beg a company to take my money. I'll simply move on. Which is what I did with Rolex years ago.

I have been invited to an Omega manufacture visit in September and been told we might get a preview of the next snoopy. The OB has the 50th anniversary on display and ive been told it will be there until the new one is introduced later this year.

Nice!! I think it’s coming, for sure… I was told in an OB last weekend that they received a couple of Snoopy watches to sell in August. I think they are going to keep pushing the watch until the very end. Secondary prices are just a smidge above retail at this point. I’m glad they made enough to mostly meet demand and are going to treat us with a new model….just hoping it’s not a numbered edition…….unless I can get one 😀

Lots of wishful thinking, nothing is assured. Omega haven't celebrated ANY 55th anniversaries of any event, why now, and in a weak retail environment? Skeptical.

Only reason why I could see them doing it is because of the weak retail environment. Snoopy Speedies will sell but then it’ll make more sense to just keep churning out Snoopy 50’s.

Well, they celebrated the 45th anniversary and I do not think it was celebrated either before, as others have said, it is a cash cow for Omega

that's exciting. Omega would be crazy not to milk this as long as they can

There are 35/40th anniversaries of 15/17 so a 45th A13 was quitte normal. As we haven't seen an A11 55th and A15/A17/AS 50th that tells me it's unlikely it will be happening in October.
