Thoughts and this and its originality? Seamaster

Hi there!

There is a Omega Seamster in black dial that I am interested in. The seller has provided me some average photos and I have placed them here.

Anyone have any thoughts as to its originality? In terms of case, hands, caseback and dial? I think the crown is definitely wrong but let me hear your thoughts!

Thank you!

You could do much much better, the watch has been re-dialled and is generally in poor condition.
Keep your eye on the private sales section on this forum and you will find much better buys.

From those pictures, I'd say it's a redial - but I am not certain. Anyway, the rest of the watch would make me stay away. Looks very, very tired.

The Seamaster font looks strange. Based on this I think it's a redial

Skip!

These lugs have been polished to the point where they're literally nonexistent.
The finishing on the bezel has been polished away, and the edges are also rounded due to excessive polishing.
Looks like the movement isn't working - the seconds hand doesn't move, although the owner probably used the crown to change the minutes/hours.
Also, this is definitely a redial - the seamaster text is distorted, the size is incorrect, and the placement on the dial is wrong.
Finally, I doubt the handset is all genuine/original to the watch. The second hand seems to be a replacement.

Do anyone see that the S in Seamaster is up side down coat-hanger? 😗

Thank you all, very good points and definitely helped in my experience dealing with online finds. From the start I am skeptical about the case and lugs, and the crown is wrong. Indeed the omega font is strange and seamster is an inverted coat-hanger.
