·Hi everyone! I was hoping I could have done a glorious "back from service" post since I already had the serviced watch in my hand. But no - the watch is back with the watchmaker and I'm back here hoping someone might be able to share me their knowledge once again. I am grateful if anyone can!
Here's the watch:
More photos of the watch in my original post https://omegaforums.net/threads/omega-seamaster-de-ville-automatic-18k-integrated-bracelet.163098/
So I decided to keep the watch as it is without shortening the bracelet. I took the watch to be serviced by a independent watchmaker with Omega parts account. We agreed he would service the movement and change the original hesalite (omega signed) crystal for a new one because there's a small crack at the edge and scratches all around.
Finally upon opening found out the ref. nro which was 7161 as speculated and movement cal. 562 with serial dating it to 1963 just as @PlainVanilla knew by just looking at the dial!
Here's the problem. Ref. 7161 doesn't show on Omega parts list. Watchmaker ordered the Replacement Crystal 063PX5072 (D31,60 ja H 5,12) but it doesn't fit. According to him it's the only one Omega has for these monocoque -models but the original crystal is 1 mm lower. Does anyone know about this? Is there a another Omega crystal that would fit correctly?
Also noticed after service that the seconds hand would contact with minute hand when adjusting the time because the attachment point was worn so the seconds hand sits a bit deep. Watchmaker wanted to fix this by adjusting but the fact that the hour hand is terribly ugly made me want to change the hand set completely. He found from Omega that the handset 065PX8186 (h&min) and 066PX1370 (sec) could be correct. After the misfitting crystal I'm skeptical about any of the parts. Only thing I can find is that it is "YEL Stick/W/Lum 12.7mm". Couldn't find any pictures or additional information online. Can anyone confirm that these would be the correct replacement parts for this watch?
