Hi All I have a Universal Geneve Cal 139 that is in great cosmetic shape with the movement running and case/dial in great condition.... or so I think. what confuses me about this watch is that it has text of “Auto-Wind” on the dial. I can find 0 examples of anything UG with “auto-wind” everything says Automatic. the only other autowind I can find is the same era Gruen Autowind but it does not have the - between the auto and wind for most of them. i assume this is a redial but do not have a lot of familiarity with UG.
Well unless there is severe distortion through the crystal, the uneven font, bad alignment, poor print quality and erratic letter spacing scream redial to me
