Long time no see, guys,

I have to decide quickly about this one, and this confuses me ever since my "career" of collecting vintage Omega. What are your thoughts here?

@baoquang what are your thoughts?

almost ready to pull the trigger... font on dial seems right, hands right, crown correct, I have seen that case...

just the whole combination is...

Apart from the eighties quartz Seamaster, I don't recall ever seeing a true "Omega Style" pie pan Seamaster before and if I were to nit-pick the spacing of Swiss Made looks a bit awkward to me. Apart from that, I have a hard time seeing why it shouldn't be correct - very special watch! The black parts are onyx inlays and not paint, correct?

It would be a good idea to hear notabilities like @hoipolloi and @X350 XJR if they have come across similar.

Sorry, I have no insight into this piece. All the parts look correct, but I have never seen a combination like that.

I would be interested to see the case reference number.

It looks so strange!

I’m no expert on these but the font/serifs etc seem to look correct. The cross hair seems slightly thick but that might be the picture.

A pie pan Seamaster DeVille though?!?!

last update: we private chatted with a notable Omega vintagist and the final consesus is... there is no consesus 😀 ... as he told me: "let's consider it is a strange, unknown bird and let it go..."

All the hands look too long to me.

As for the dial, well it looks correct, although I've never seen one like that before.

Wow, that is a strange one. It looks like it is probably legit, but so weird it gives you pause.

Never seen a dial like that. Hands correct for a SMD but seem off in conjunction with the PP dial, SWISS MADE seems odd as previously noted.

There are still many Omega oddities still waiting to be seen.

My other concern with this would be the fact that some of the ‘better’ redials seem to be on DeVilles. Possibly due to the fact that the black dialled DeVilles are so sought after.
