No right-minded person would argue that the many issues surrounding George Floyd’s death need careful, thoughtful, and on-going examination, though why you chose to hijack this thread, which was obviously about issues infinity more frivolous in nature than someone’s brutal death (crammed check-writing, annoying commentators and pesky tape dispensers) is beyond me and further, could be viewed as insensitive.
But, the point is, you replied to the lesser, though still very serious transgressions that
@alam brought up, by noting that they don’t “make it on your list,” the implication being that they are not important. Well, they are, and because greater problems continue is no justification for those actions to be sanctioned in any way, nor the people that perpetuate them given a pass. And, I disagree with your contention that larger societal problems “create the opportunity” for people to act poorly. There are plenty of non-violent, law-abiding protestors, but they get the same press.
