I was the lucky bidder... 😀 but the total that the watch will cost (without service) will be a bit more than the total shown on Christie´s web (as posted above)... which I think is not a "bargain" anymore, but still a reasonable price. Adding full service, we will be at around 7k USD for a 22289.
Will post some images once I receive it, let´s hope it´s not a disappointment.

I promised some photos once the watch has arrived.... so here they are - quick shots with my phone, nothing too fancy.
The watch is definitely not a disappointment, only the hours-subdial hand (fortunately nicely hidden below the central chrono sweep so it doesn´t bother me too much) and plexi seem to be a replacement. Dial looks very nice, case not perfect, but definitely OK, movement complete and running, but cleaning and basic service necessary.
Should anyone have an extra subdial hand for cal. 281, please let me know! ;-)

··Color Commentator for the Hyperbole.I’d not sweat the hours sub hand as you got this for a great number. At this price point the reminder crown is often a replacement etc. Great catch….I’d get it serviced and “Do no harm” would be my mantra.
