I promised some photos once the watch has arrived.... so here they are - quick shots with my phone, nothing too fancy.

The watch is definitely not a disappointment, only the hours-subdial hand (fortunately nicely hidden below the central chrono sweep so it doesn´t bother me too much) and plexi seem to be a replacement. Dial looks very nice, case not perfect, but definitely OK, movement complete and running, but cleaning and basic service necessary.

Should anyone have an extra subdial hand for cal. 281, please let me know! ;-)

that looks really really nice ! congratulations !

I don't think it's any big rush, but in time I would think it's possible to find the sub dial hour hand.

This redialled 22414 just sold for EUR 4.200 excl. 23% at a German auction https://www.invaluable.com/auction-lot/Large-Universal-Aero-Compax-GMT-Switch-Wheel-Chro-598-c-6814BC1BCC?utm_ Price is low for a 37mm but a reflection of the issues I think

I thought the UG market was supposed to be a wee bit soft at the moment? €5,166 all-in seems like an incredible result for the auction house given the issues with the dial and all of the central hands. Cracking case, though.

Me too. It almost looks likt the UG logo was added later

It is obiously recased, I saw it and immediately tought that is was not meeting the UG elegant cases standards...

Definitely a redial, at least partial. And with both crowns taken from some bigger case. 😀
All too typical of the junk on the market these days.

The IG poster says he doesn't like the UG above because it's overwhelming and the crowns are too large. I'm just saying it's not really fair judgement since the dial and crowns are not original.

I'm with you on that. He clearly does not know I assume because otherwise I think he would not have posted a redial
