The search for my first Omega

Hi all, new member here and I'm looking to get my first Omega - preferably used, given the increase in bang-for-buck.

I created a similar thread looking for a user who sells used Omegas on here and was kindly redirected to post more generally - sounds like there are many folks like that on this forum.

I'd love to get a used Speedmaster Pro at a price point with a high end of $3,000-3,500. I like the "classic" looks of the 3570.50, 3572.50 and 3573.50 models - and definitely want a bracelet, not a strap. My favorite model might be the new 3861 Professional w/ Sapphire crystal, but don't want to drop $7K on one, plus there are lots of nice, cheaper (used) Speedys in my opinion (many of which I'm probably not even aware of).

I'm hesitant to go the eBay/C24 route as I'm new to buying luxury watches online, and prefer going with somebody who's somewhat known, or who at least can point me in that direction on one of those sites. I've bought my watches locally up til now.

Any help in finding a good deal on my first Speedy would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Where is local to you? Sounds like you'd like to do a deal in person.
