We could also speculate on whether Irvine's camera will be found and if the film could be developed.
Exactly, that has been the question for a long time. I wonder how water resistant the camera would be. Cant remember if it was here or on one of the camera sites, where the so called sub zero oils were discussed that were used on the cameras (and watches.)

I also see where they released new images of Shakelton's Endurance. I was always impressed that had a full photo lab (dark room) capable of processing cine film. They did carry out what plates they could. Many were thought to be smashed though. Doubt after 100 years in frozen salt water they would be any good.

I have been looking into film processing lately. (The obsolete APS system) Someone made an automated film processor out of lego. There was another site saying that strong English black tea, also makes a good film developer.
